Shri Vishalakshi
Shakti Peedam
The Cosmic Large-Eyed Mother of Grace
at Meer Ghat along the Sacred River Ganga

THE SACRED STORY OF SHRI VISHALAKSHI
In the celestial cosmic history, when Lord Shiva performed the cosmic Tandava carrying Devi Sati, Lord Vishnu operated the Sudarshana Chakra to sanctify the sacred land across 51 points.
The Sacred Earrings / Eyes (Karna Kundalam / Akshi) of Mother Sati consecrated the ancient Meer Ghat along the holy river Ganga in the eternal city of Kashi (Varanasi), manifesting as the supreme Shri Vishalakshi Shakti Peedam.
Manifesting as Mother Vishalakshi (the Large-Eyed Mother of Grace) and protected by Lord Kaal Bhairava, this holy peedam completes the celebrated Devi Trinity, liberating devotees from grief and granting supreme Kashi Moksha.
When Lord Shiva traversed the cosmos bearing Devi Sati, Lord Vishnu's Sudarshana Chakra released the sacred limbs across 51 holy Peedams.
Mother Sati's Sacred Karna Kundalam consecrated holy Meer Ghat in Kashi. Presided by Mother Vishalakshi and Lord Kaal Bhairava, She dissolves suffering and bestows radiant wisdom and Moksha.
