THE SACRED STORY OF SRI MANASA DEVI
According to ancient Puranic scriptures, when Lord Shiva performed the cosmic Tandava bearing the sacred form of Mother Sati, Lord Vishnu released the Sudarshana Chakra, dividing Her divine body into 51 holy Shakti Peethas.
The sacred Right Hand (Dakshina Kara) of Mother Sati consecrated the mystical shores of sacred Lake Manasarovar at the foot of Mount Kailash, manifesting as the revered Sri Manasa Devi Shakti Peedam.
Presided over by Goddess Mansa Devi and protected by Lord Amar Bhairav, this supreme Himalayan kshethra bestows eternal liberation, destroys cosmic illusions, and grants supreme spiritual consciousness to devout pilgrims.
