THE SACRED STORY OF SRI JWALAMUKHI
According to ancient Puranic scriptures, when Lord Shiva carried the divine body of Mother Sati across the cosmos, Lord Vishnu released the Sudarshana Chakra, dividing Her sanctified form into 51 sacred Shakti Peethas.
The sacred Tongue (Jihva) of Mother Sati consecrated the lush Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh, manifesting as the eternal blazing natural flame of Sri Jwalamukhi Shakti Peedam.
Presided over by Goddess Sri Jwalamukhi and guarded by Lord Unmatta Bhairav, this miraculous kshethra dispels darkness, bestows fearlessness, spiritual wisdom, and supreme divine grace upon devotees.
Mother Sati's sacred Tongue (Jihva) consecrated Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, manifesting as eternal divine flames at Sri Jwalamukhi Peedam.
