THE SACRED STORY OF SRI NAINA DEVI
According to ancient Puranic scriptures, when Lord Shiva carried the sacred form of Mother Sati across the cosmos in grief, Lord Vishnu released His Sudarshana Chakra, dividing Her divine body into 51 holy Shakti Peethas.
The sacred Eyes (Netra) of Mother Sati consecrated the triangular hill overlooking the Gobind Sagar lake in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, manifesting as the revered Sri Naina Devi Shakti Peedam.
Presided over by Goddess Naina Devi—the granter of spiritual vision and wisdom—and protected by Lord Bhadrakali, this holy hilltop shrine blesses millions of pilgrims with divine insight, courage, and lifelong protection.
