THE SACRED STORY OF SRI MANSA DEVI
According to ancient Puranic scriptures, when Lord Shiva performed the cosmic Tandava bearing the sacred form of Mother Sati, Lord Vishnu released His Sudarshana Chakra to sever the divine form into 51 sacred parts.
The sacred Head (Mastaka) of Goddess Sati consecrated the foothills of the Shivalik range at Mani Majra near Chandigarh, manifesting as the revered Sri Mansa Devi Shakti Peedam.
Presided over by Goddess Mansa Devi—the granter of heartfelt wishes—and protected by Lord Bhairav, this holy kshethra fulfills wishes, dispels sorrow, and blesses seekers with spiritual enlightenment.
